Impact Wrestling review 10/20/11

Opening promo: Sting comes out to a great reaction. He says he got the real Hogan back, and he got TNA back for Dixie Carter. Sting says Hogan did the right thing, and then Hogan comes out. Hogan says he's been wrong for the past year or so. Hogan says Eric helped him through the times, and sided with him on business decisions. Hogan shakes Sting's hand, leaving the ring. Dixie Carter comes out to the ring. Sting says this is Dixie's second chance, and she can't make mistakes. Dixie promises she won't. Dixie says Sting will have to help her out, and he agrees. Kurt Angle then comes out to the ring. Angle says Dixie lied to him, that's why he's in Immortal. Angle says he will represent TNA, and that he's the best. Sting announces Roode vs Angle for the title, but Angle says the contract only allowed Roode to have one match. James Storm comes out to the ring, and says he'll take the match for Roode. Sting makes it official. SO MUCH EFFING TALKING, JESUS CHRIST. Almost the entire first hour was blown on this promo.

1) Knockout Tag Team Championship: Angelina Love/Winter vs Ms.Tessmacher/Tara(c)

Longest match of the night, and it wasn't that good. Tara/Tessmacher retain.

Match rate: 2/5

Jeff Jarrett/Jeff Hardy promo: Jeff Jarrett comes out with Karen, and calls out Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy comes out. Jarrett says Hardy can't just get his chance back cause Dixie is back in control. Jeff says nobody cares about Hardy. Hardy says the fans want him in TNA. Jeff J strikes Hardy, and they go at it, and guards come out to stop the brawl. Jarrett low blows Hardy, and leaves.

Kurt Angle segment: Angle says nobody gets the upper hand on him. He throws a chair to end the segment.

Eric Young/Robbie E/Rob Terry segment: Robbie E shows up to EY, and wants a TV title shot because he deserves it. Eric says he knows cause Robbie is a Jersey Shore star, then he insults Terry. Eric Young says he's bringing back up from the Jersey Shore to take Robbie out.

2)Gunner vs. Abyss

Abyss dominated Gunner, and Gunner left and got counted out. That was it, seriously.

Match rate: 1/5

Velvet Sky segment: Velvet says the moment was worth it. She says she owes it all to the fans, and that she's going to thank them.

Ric Flair/Immortal segment: Flair is talking to Immortal, and Gunner comes in, saying that was the monster out there. Eric has no idea what Gunner is talking about, and Immortal leaves.

Velvet Sky/Karen Jarrett promo: Velvet says she is proud to be Knockouts Champion. She says the fans are great. Karen comes out with Traci. Karen screams, and asks security to take Velvet and Traci from the ring. Madison Rayne walks out, when Gail Kim attacks Velvet Sky from behind. Great to see Gail back!

Eric Bischoff/Hulk Hogan promo: Eric comes out with Immortal. He calls Hogan out, and out comes Hogan. Hogan says Eric has one chance to say whatever he wants. Eric asks how Hogan could betray Immortal, and that he made Hogan what he is today. Eric talks about his son, and slaps Hogan. Immortal surrounds Hogan, but Sting makes the save. Eric's son is on the ramp, and Eric rips his shirt off. Eric's son punches Eric right in the face, and gives the thumbs up to Hogan.

James Storm/Robert Roode segment: James says he wish he had more time to prepare for this match. Roode says it's his time, and tells James to win. James walks to the stage.

3) TNA World Championship: James Storm vs. Kurt Angle (c)

All the match was... was punches by Angle, and kicks, then Storm hit the super kick to become the NEW World Champion. Storm went into the crowd, and Fortune brought beer to the ring. They all celebrated the victory. Storm says it's good to be on top, Roode is glad James won.

Match rate: 1/5

Conclusion: Shit show. Just like last year's post-BFG show... all talking, little wrestling. I do not see the point of James Storm being champion, and there was so much talking that the match was rushed. Gail Kim's return is the only good thing noting.

Overall rate: 2/10

Positives:

    - Gail Kim's return

Negatives:

    - Rushed matches

    - Too much talking

    - Swerve with Storm being World Champion

    - Shit storylines/feuds

TNA Bound For Glory 2011 review

Introduction: Bound For Glory is TNA's biggest PPV of the year, equivalent to WWE's Wrestlemania. Same stage as last year's BFG, no pyro(what the hell?), and it took place in Philly. Lockdown 2009 took place in the same arena, yet had double the fans TNA had for this. Anyways, let's get underway with the Bound For Glory 11' review.

1) X-Division Championship: Austin Aries(c) vs Brian Kendrick

Awesome match. This was a great way to kick off BFG. Both are excellent performers, and Aries got a pop cause of his ROH tenure, which is based out of Philly. Aries wins to retain the title.

Match rate: 3.5/5

Karen Jarrett/Traci Brooks segment: Karen will be the ref for the Knockouts match later on. Brooks is told to stay in the locker room, unless something happens to Karen.

2) Full Metal Mayhem: Rob Van Dam vs Jerry Lynn

A feud that should have been buried at Destination X, re-emerged. Tables, ladders, and chairs(which is what FMM is), was the perfect stipulation for these guys to go at it. Not a good wrestling match, but entertaining, and a show of good sportsmanship after the match. RVD wins, as that was no surprise, Jerry never goes over in their matches. RVD, and Jerry, only got decent pops, but deserved better. They're ECW legends, and that's all the crowd gives them?

Match rate: 2.5/5

3) Samoa Joe vs Crimson vs Matt Morgan

I don't know why this was added to the card. But, Crimson won, to remain un-defeated, in a filler match. Samoa Joe is really buried deep, and needs to leave TNA, as soon as his contract expires.

Match rate: 2/5

Bully Ray interview: Bully says he doesn't need an introduction, but introduces himself anyways.. okay? He says Anderson is a fool, and he says screw Anderson, screw Philly, he's Bully Ray, and he's from New York City. Ray is an awesome heel.

4) Falls Count Anywhere: Mr. Anderson vs Bully Ray

Anderson got a big pop, at least his current face run is paying off. Good brawl match, but not good with the wrestling. Bully Ray has gone over many times, and Anderson picks up the win. I don't care for the feud, but good decision.

Match rate: 2/5

Eric Bischoff/Jackson James segment: Eric says Jackson(his son), is the ref for Hogan vs Sting. Eric says Hogan must win, and Sting must be brought down.

5) TNA Knockouts Championship: Winter (c) vs Mickie James vs Velvet Sky vs Madison Rayne

Not really exciting, but alright match. Too much focus on Karen, who was bumped, and Traci Brooks counted the cover, leading to Velvet Sky becoming the NEW Knockouts Champion.

Match rate: 2/5

Kazarian interview: Kaz says he's happy for Roode. Kaz is not happy that Daniels and Styles are facing off tonight, but he hopes things end, but he knows they won't.

6) "I Quit" Match: AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels

This feud just like Jerry Lynn vs RVD, should have ended at Destination X. I wish the match featured more wrestling. AJ Styles goes over, and Daniels quits because Styles had a screwdriver. After the match, Daniels laid Styles out on the ramp with Angel's Wings, and says AJ never beat him, so who wins now? Okay, then.

Match rate: 2.5/5

Jeff Jarrett/Jeff Hardy promo:

Jeff Jarrett calls Hardy out to the ring. Hardy comes out, and attacks Jarrett, and security breaks them up. D Lo Brown got a big pop from the crowd, and Hardy had his mugshot on his shirt..?

7) Hulk Hogan vs Sting, if Sting wins, Dixie gets the company back

First of all, it's 2011, not 1997. Ric Flair was ringside, Hogan wore street clothes, absolute shitty match, and Sting picked up the win. Immortal beat down Sting, Hogan turns face, and attacks Immortal, revealing the real Hulk Hogan. Oh, God. I'm surprised neither got hurt, and Jackson James hesitated calling the bell when Hogan tapped.

Match rate: 1/5

8) TNA Championship Match: Kurt Angle (c) vs Bobby Roode

Great match. Great display of technical wrestling, and Roode didn't win, but that's because Hogan doesn't want him as champion. Angle retained by holding onto the ropes, and Roode's hand was under the rope. Bad ending, smh.

Match rate: 4.5/5

Conclusion: Apart from some things, I enjoyed this PPV. Roode vs Angle could have done without the terrible ending, but that's me. BFG 10' was better, in my humble opinion.

Overall rate: 6/10

Positives:

~ X-Division title match
~ Velvet Sky finally winning the Knockout title
~ AJ Styles going over
~ Angle vs Roode(match wise)

Negatives:

~ RVD going over(again)
~ Karen Jarrett as the ref
~ Daniels weak heel portrayal
~ Weak finish to Roode vs Angle

Impact Wrestling review 10/13/11

Introduction: The 10/13 edition of Impact was the go home show for Bound For Glory, TNA's biggest PPV of the year. This was the second of two tapings from Knoxville, Tennessee. Howdy, yall.

Opening promo: Angle comes out, and calls Robert Roode to the ring. Roode comes out, and Angle says Roode passed the test, and beat his Fortune friends. Angle says he'll prove he's the better man on Sunday. Angle extends the hand, but Roode refuses. Roode says at BFG, everyone will find out who has the bigger heart. Roode wants nobody getting involved on Sunday. Angle agrees, and they shake hands. Angle exits, and reminds Roode he'll take on Jeff Jarrett/Gunner in a handi-cap match.

1) AJ Styles/RVD vs Daniels/Jerry Lynn

The match started as a brawl, with both teams still brawling from backstage. This match was boring, with not a whole lot going on. AJ Styles pinned Jerry Lynn, as Daniels walked away.

Match rate: 2/5

2) Samoa Joe vs Matt Morgan

Short, boring match. Matt Morgan wins, and Joe attacks him, but Crimson makes the save. Samoa Joe says it'll be him, Crimson, and Matt in a 3 way dance at Bound For Glory.

Match rate: 2/5

Mexican America/Ink Inc promo: Hernandez calls Ink Inc "wannabe tough guys". Ink Inc comes out, and Neal says Mex America talks all this crap about America, but the fact is, they live here(terrible promo line). Neal asks Anarquia to show his tat that Shannon Moore gave to him, Shannon says something will happen that will make everyone happy, and tells Mex America to get out. They brawl, and Christina Von Erie officially makes her debut, and makes the save for Ink Inc. Neal says Mex America can bring all the women they want at BFG, cause they have their's.

3) Kendrick/Sorenson vs Aries/Kash

Short, yet decent. Kendrick picked up the win, which makes sense going into Bound For Glory.

Match rate: 2.5/5

Knockouts promo: Karen Jarrett and Traci Brooks came out to the ring, followed by Mickie James, Winter, Velvet Sky, and Madison Rayne. This was mostly just Velvet and Karen going at it, the whole "class" vs "trash" thing. Karen said she had to fight to get the Knockouts on PPV. Sky bumped Karen, a big brawl ensued, security broke it up.

Bully Ray segment: Bully says he's the perfect guy to be an enforcer, and that nobody better mess with him.

AJ Styles segment: AJ Styles says it's all Daniels' fault, and that he couldn't let the victory go. Styles says to remember what happened to Dreamer(I Quit match), and Daniels attacks Styles.

4) Steiner vs Anderson w/Bully Ray as the special enforcer

Not much happened but Anderson wins. Abyss turns face, when he went to strike Anderson, but struck Steiner instead. Immortal beat down Abyss.

Match rate: 1/5

Kurt Angle/James Storm segment: Storm approaches Angle about how Roode found out Angle got involved in his match with him. Angle says Roode still pinned Storm. Storm said Roode will take out Angle, and leaves frustrated.

Jeff Jarrett segment: Jarrett says Roode has had luck lately, but won't have it tonight in the handi-cap match.

5) Jeff Jarrett/Gunner vs Robert Roode

Short, but it was alright. Angle and the rest of them beat down Roode, but Jeff Hardy made the save. I'm not a fan of Jeff, but nice way of getting him over as a face, again.

Match rate: 2/5

Jeff Jarrett/Jeff Hardy segment: Jeff Hardy says he returned to do good, and saved the future world champ tonight. Jarrett says he no longer respects Hardy, and that he better not show up at BFG. Hardy leaves, and Jarrett asks where he's going, and Hardy says to buy his tickey for BFG.

Hulk Hogan/Sting contract signing: Both signed the contract. Hogan rants about how Sting forced him into this match, and that he'll get the real Hulk Hogan. Sting says that's all he wants. Hogan says Sting will not make Hogan look bad. Bischoff comes out, and says if there's anything left, he'll kick Sting's ass. Hogan lays Sting out with a chair to end the show.

Conclusion: Not a good go home show. Weak hype, and nothing made it stand out that BFG is "must see". It could have been better.

Overall rate: 4/10

Positives:

~ Kendrick going over
~ Roode/Angle promo
~ Christina Von Erie's debut

Negatives:

~ Contract signing
~ Abyss going face
~ Knockouts promo
~ RVD/Lynn feud
~ Bully Ray/Anderson feud

Impact Wrestling review 10/6/11

Introduction: The 10/6 edition of Impact Wrestling featured the first of two tapings from Knoxville, Tennessee. Also, Hogan's "retirement" celebration takes place, and Roode must take on his partner Storm, per order of Angle's plan!

Opening promo: Beer Money comes out to the ring. Storm says it's about time that Hogan takes a backseat, and let's the younger stars shine. Storm says him and Roode will tear the place down tonight. Roode welcomes Storm back home to his state, and says Fortune is family. He says he needs Storm to bring his best. Storm says he always saw Roode as a future World Champ, and that he'll bring it.

Nice opening promo! Big fan of Beer Money.

1) Gunner vs Kaz

This was a decent match, nice opening bout. Gunner got the win with an impressive submission, but wouldn't let go, giving Kaz the win via DQ. Gunner says "screw you all" as he headed to the back.

Match rate: 3/5

Mr. Anderson/Bully Ray promo:
Mr. Anderson apologizes to his assholes. Anderson says he doesn't like politics, and calls Bully Ray a douchebag. Bully Ray comes out. Bully Ray calls Anderson's fans "jackoffs", and says Anderson won't get another match. Anderson challenges Bully Ray to a Philadelphia Falls Count Anywhere match at Bound For Glory.

Not a big fan of either guy, but Anderson's emphasis on "ANYWHERE" made it seem like it's going to be a good brawl.

Eric Bischoff segment: Bischoff says his head is all over the place, and says Hogan's retirement is tough. Eric says they've handled business together, and that it's the end of an era.

Brian Kendrick segment: Kendrick is ranting about philosophy. He says he knows Aries' weaknesses', and that he's cleaning up the X-Division, and that guys like Kash are scumbags. Kid Kash attacks Kendrick, and tells him to clean his own blood.

2) Mickie James/Velvet Sky vs Winter/Madison Rayne

This was alright for a Knockouts match. Certainly better than any Divas match recently. Madison stole the victory for her team.

Match rate: 2/5

Kurt Angle/Eric Bischoff segment: Angle says he told Hardy to not show his face around TNA again. Angle wants to handle business, but Bischoff says he will.

Eric Bischoff/Jeff Hardy promo: Bischoff calls Jeff out to the ring. Eric says he's had the honor to work with the greats, guys that have paved the way for guys like himself and Jeff. Bischoff says he never dropped the ball, but that Jeff has turned that into an artform. Bischoff says Hardy is done, and to leave the ring. Hardy says he's glad EB spoke his mind. Jeff hits the Twist of Fate, and Immortal runs out, but Jeff exits through the crowd.

Jeff Hardy segment: Jeff says if he took what EB said, that would be wrong. He says if he's out of TNA, it's on his own terms.

3) Crimson vs Samoa Joe

Good match. A mix of brawling, and technical wrestling. Nice feud going on between these guys. Crimson wins to remain un-defeated!

Match rate: 3/5

Bully Ray segment: Ray says Anderson is either crazy, or has big balls. Ray says he'll end Anderson's career in Philly, where his career began. Ray says screw Philly, and that he's from NYC.

James Storm segment: James says he's happy for Roode, and that he's happy to prove he's one of the best. Storm says Robert says it pays to be Roode, Storm says he forgot his wallet, so sorry about your damn luck!

Robert Roode hype package: Roode talks about TNA, and his title match. Roode's parents' talk about how much Robert wants the title. He says he has respect for Angle, but doesn't get his deal, and that he doesn't care. Roode says nobody can hold him down.

4) Robert Roode vs James Storm

Great match. Excellent main event. Technical wrestling was showcased, and the match could have gone either way, and it was the best way to have Roode end the Fortune gauntlet. Angle came out during the match, and shoved Storm into the steel steps. Roode picked up the win.

Match rate: 4.5/5

Hulk Hogan's "retirement" Ceremony: The crowd chants "Hogan". Hogan says he woke up, and realized that today was his last day in the business. Hulk says when he arrived, Knoxville showed him love. Hogan says Hulkamania has been the longest run in history, and that it's time for it to be put to rest, and to let the celebration begin.

Sting comes out dressed in red and yellow. Sting asks the fans if they're buying into this crap. Hogan says Sting needs to leave him alone, and Sting shows footage of Bischoff and Hogan saying the retirement celebration was a scheme for fans to buy Hogan merchandise. Hogan says that's enough, and that he will fight Sting at BFG, and if Sting wins, Dixie gets the company back. Hogan covers his mouth, and Sting leaves.

Conclusion: Good episode of Impact, it really forwarded the BFG storylines. They left out RVD/Jerry Lynn, and Styles/Daniels, so, not all feuds got pushed. Not all promos were great, and Hogan's promo was realistic, but obviously bullshit.

Overall rate: 8/10

Positives:

~ Gunner vs Kaz
~ Crimson vs Samoa Joe
~ Roode vs Storm
~ Hype package for Roode
~ No Karen Jarrett

Negatives:

~ Ray/Anderson feud
~ Hardy/Bischoff promo
~ Hogan's "retirement" ceremony

Impact Wrestling review 9/29/11

Introduction: On this edition of Impact Wrestling, Robert Roode took on AJ Styles, and Hulk Hogan made his blockbuster announcement! Also, the road to BFG continues.

Opening promo: Sting comes out to the ring, and says he once believed everything Kurt Angle said. He says Angle is trying to turn Fortune against eachother. Sting says Angle's plan will backfire. Sting calls out Robert Roode, and he says he's proud of him. Sting knows Roode can beat Angle. Roode says he has a huge opportunity lying in front of him at BFG, and calls Sting the man. AJ Styles comes out and tells Roode to make the best out of this opportunity. Angle comes out, and says he's a man of his word, and if Styles can beat Roode, he'll get a title shot after BFG.

Decent promo, but too many people came out for it. Keep it simple.

1) X-Division Ladder match, winner gets a title shot vs Aries at Bound For Glory: Alex Shelley vs Zema Ion vs Brian Kendrick vs Kid Kash vs Jesse Sorenson

Great opening match. Decent ladder spots, followed with good wrestling. Kid Kash did really good in this match, but Brian Kendrick picked up the win. Austin Aries was on commentary.

Match rate: 3/5

Kaz segment: Kaz says Styles and Daniels keep fighting, and that Roode vs Styles is going to be a huge match. Karen Jarrett walks in with Jeff Jarrett, and they want Kaz out in the ring.

Ric Flair segment: Flair is seen outside the Impact Zone, and says he wants to be a part of a decision, and says he's coming in.

Why is Flair still on TV? Keep him off while he's healing from injury.

Jeff Jarrett/Kaz promo: Jeff, and Karen come out, and call Kaz out, and tell him to bring Traci. Jeff says he picked Kaz to come to TNA, and re-hired Kaz various times. Jeff calls Traci a skank. TNA agents come out to prevent anything. Kaz attacks Jeff, Karen and Traci go at it, and Gunner lays out Kaz to end the segment.

It's sad that Kaz has been reduced to this, yikes.

Mexican America/Ink Inc segment: Jesse Neal vs Hernandez was scheduled, but in a place where "wrestling matters", it doesn't take place! Mexican America attacks Ink Inc, and spraypaint their backs. LWO much?

Bully Ray segment: Bully Ray is asked if he knows what Hogan's announcement is, and Ray says Hogan called him first. Bully tells him to get out of his face.

James Storm segment: Storm says a part of him will be with Roode at Bound For Glory, and that Roode will show everyone that it pays to be Roode.

Ric Flair/Hulk Hogan segment: Flair says Hogan is going to do is unacceptable. Flair says Hogan can't do this, and that it's not a good decision. Flair says Hulk has time to change his mind.

2) Queen's Qualifier: Tara vs Madison Rayne

This was short, and boring. Rayne kept hitting on the ref, and just a bunch of stuff that should have been left out. Madison Rayne fills the last slot in the Knockout's title match at BFG.

Match rate: 2/5

Daniels segment: Daniels is asked if he'll face Styles at BFG, and Daniels says to beat AJ again, would be a "kick in the nuts", pun intended.

Crimson returns: Crimson calls out Samoa Joe. Samoa Joe says Crimson should be lucky he let him walk. Joe says if Crimson isn't in TNA, who else will be his bitch? Crimson spears Joe, but Joe attacks the ankle again, until Matt Morgan made the save.

The return could have been better, but nice feud, though.

AJ Styles segment: Styles says we'll see if Roode has what it takes, and that he won't cut him any slack.

3) Mr. Anderson vs D'angelo Dinero

Not a bad match, but not good. Devon came out, Devon's sons got involved, and it was just a mess. Bully Ray struck Anderson with a kendo stick, and Dinero gets the win.

Match rate: 2/5

Robert Roode segment: He says Styles will bring his best, and says if he can beat Styles, he can beat Angle.

Devon/Dinero segment: Devon screams at Dinero, for allowing his sons to get involved. Devon tells Dinero to handle things, and to not let it happen again.

This storyline is beyond stupid, and kids have no place in wrestling.

4) Robert Roode vs AJ Styles

Awesome match. Great efforts by both guys, and a lot of "on the edge" moments where the match could have gone either way. Very good main event. The match got very good time, too.

Match rate: 3.5/5

Robert Roode/AJ Styles segment: AJ calls Roode the man, and that he's the man. Roode asks AJ if he brought his best, and Styles says yes. Styles says once Roode wins the belt, to give him a shot.

Good following to the match.

Hulk Hogan's announcement: Hogan says he's done some soul searching. Hogan says it's all about the run you have, and how much fun you're having. Hulk talks about facing Andre The Giant(as always?) in front of 94,000 people. *Sting is shown watching from the back* Hulk says he had the chance to come to Impact Wrestling. He puts over talent such as Styles, Kaz, Daniels, Roode, Jeff Hardy etc, and that he gave them advice. Hogan says this is the end of the road, and through his family and health problems, and that he never lost the fans. Hogan says he's retiring, and that he invites everyone to come to Knoxville next week to see him in the ring for the last time.

Sting says he'll be there to celebrate.

Conclusion: Another weak show. Some BFG feuds were left out, and Jeff Hardy's attempt to get respect back was left out, as well. Some good matches, and there was too much talking. Also, though Hogan's promo was good, it's also a bunch of bullshit, he's not retiring.

Overall rate: 3/10

Positives:

~ X-Division ladder match
~ Crimson's return
- Roode vs AJ Styles

Negatives:

~ Kaz's burial
~ Dinero/Devon storyline
~ Madison Rayne going over
~ Weak build to feuds
~ Hogan's promo

Impact Wrestling review 9/22/11

Introduction: The 9/22 edition of Impact Wrestling kept forwarding the storylines leading into Bound For Glory. Sting beat Ric Flair, and now is able to face Hogan at Bound For Glory, and Angle's plan to have Roode face his Fortune friends continues.

Opening promo: Sting comes out to the ring in a Hogan shirt, and says he beat Ric Flair, so Hogan is all his now. He wants Hogan to come out, and Hogan comes out. Hogan says he isn't medically cleared to compete. Sting rolls footage of Hogan attacking him with a chair. Sting says screw BFG, and to let the match happen now. Eric Bischoff comes out asking Sting who the hell does he think he is, and Sting knocks him out.

Knockouts segment:
Karen Jarrett says tonight is the second match in the Queen's Qualifier matches. Karen is with Mickie James, Miss Tessmacher, and Traci Brooks. Karen tells Tessmacher to keep herself covered, and tells her and Mickie to leave. Karen tells Traci to cover up her tits. Kaz comes in, and says if Karen isn't running a hoe house, then why is she dressed like a madam? Also, Kaz says Karen better only charge 50 cents an hour, cause that's all she's worth. Funny stuff.

1.) Queen's Qualifier match: Mickie James vs Miss Tessmacher I'm guessing the Knockouts are on the some boat as the Divas? Short match, nothing special.. not even 2 minutes long. Mickie picks up the win. Match rate: 1/5

Al Snow/Jeff Hardy segment: Al says everyone makes mistakes, and tells Jeff not to make the same one again. Al Snow says he forgives Jeff, and to ask forgiveness from the top, and work his way down.

2.) X-Division championship: Austin Aries(c) vs Jesse Sorenson This was a decent match, good action. Kid Kash distracted Sorenson, which allowed Aries to retain. Match rate: 3/5

Anderson/RVD segment: RVD and Anderson say they have singles matches against Lynn/Bully Ray at BFG, but tonight they face them in a tag match.

Mexican America/Ink Inc brawl: Anarquia is in a tattoo parlor cause he's going to get a tat on his chest. Anarquia tells Sarita/Rosita to get tequila. The artist leaves, and says a new one is coming in. MA prays, and Ink Inc comes in, and brawls with Mexican America. Ink Inc stands tall. Very good brawl, and Jesse Neal is back! Finally.

Jeff Hardy/Matt Morgan segment: Jeff asks Matt if he's seen Kurt Angle, and Matt says no. Matt says he used to be addicted to painkillers, and that he'd be hypocritical if he didn't give Jeff another chance.

RVD segment: RVD is found laid out backstage. Tenay says they'll find out who did it, but they never did. -_-

Angle/Roode promo: Angle calls out Roode to the ring. Roode comes out, and Angle says Roode passed the first test by beating Kaz. Angle questions if Daniels will play by the rules tonight. Roode says he'll capture the titlr at BFG. Angle says one man might stand in Roode's way, and Storm comes out. Storm swerves everyone by getting in Roode's face, but then turns to Angle. He challenges Angle to a match later on.

3.) Handi-cap match: Bully Ray/Jerry Lynn vs Mr. Anderson Due to RVD being laid out, this was made into a handi-cap match. Very slow, and boring match. Jerry Lynn/Bully Ray pick up the win. Match rate: 2/5

Daniels promo: Daniels comes out for his scheduled match with Robert Roode, but says he won't face Roode. Daniels says he beat AJ, and has nothing to prove. Styles comes out. Styles says if Daniels keeps being cocky, they're going to have another match, and all that Daniels does is takes jabs at him. Daniels calls Styles a bitch, and they brawl. After security tried to, Kaz breaks it up. Daniels kicks Styles in the nuts to end the segment. What I'm wondering is why Kurt or Roode didn't come out to say anything about Daniels not doing the match? Un-finished crap.
Kaz/Daniels segment: Daniels tells Kaz to get off of him, and says it's AJ's fault. Kaz says this is family, and Daniels says Styles has been acting like a boss to Daniels ever since he returned. Kaz sees AJ, and AJ blames it on Daniels. AJ says Daniels just takes shots at him. Kaz says this is who Daniels is, and tells Styles to be the bigger man.

Hogan/Bischoff segment: Bischoff says he's going to find a loophole in the contract, and Hogan says he's dropping a bombshell next week on Impact.

4.) Kurt Angle vs James Storm This was a really good match, with lots of near falls, and fast action. This match also got the time needed to be good. However, it ended in a no contest when Storm superkicked the first ref, and then Gunner pulled the second ref out from pinning Storm's cover. Gunner attacked Storm, and Roode came out for the save. Roode holds up the title, and him and Angle stare to close the show. Match rate: 4/5

Conclusion: This episode of Impact wasn't anything special. Stuff was left hanging in the air, although some feuds are getting the right build to them. I'm also sick of the same feuds, Jerry Lynn/RVD, Styles/Daniels... nothing is original. Overall rate: 4/10

Positives:

~ Aries vs Sorenson
~ Jesse Neal returning
~ Storm vs Angle
~ Robert Roode hype

Negatives:

~ Knockouts match
~ Hogan's hype for a "bombshell"
~ Sting's stale gimmick
~ Daniels/Styles feud
~ RVD/Lynn, Anderson/Ray feuds
~ Daniels/Roode being hyped, only to not take place

Impact Wrestling Review 9/15/11

Introduction: This episode of Impact Wrestling is all the results of No Surrender, and the fallout. Also, Sting and Hogan's feud continues, when Sting takes on Ric Flair. If Sting wins, he gets Hogan, If Flair wins, Sting retires. It'd be cool if they both went away, but meh.

Ric Flair/Sting promo: Flair demands that Sting come out to the ring. Flair says Sting will get to Hogan over his dead body, and Sting says that well, Flair dies tonight. Sting wants to battle Flair right there and then, but security prevents anything from happening.

Jeff Hardy segment: Hardy says it's good to be back. Jeff says he needs to prove himself to the boys in Orlando, and that tonight will be the second step of his return.

1.) 8 Person Mixed Tag Match: Devon/Dinero/Tessmacher/Tara vs Mexican America

This was boring, and thrown together. Seriously, 8 person mixed tag? Anyways... Devon, Dinero, Tessmacher, and Tara pick up the victory.

Match Rate: 1/5

Karen Jarrett/Knockouts segment: Karen orders Traci to bring the Knockouts to her. Traci says she hates Karen, while Karen tells Traci to cover her tits(no thank you, the way she dresses is fine!). Karen tells Mickie when the Knockouts arrive that she isn't getting a rematch. Karen says 3 Queen's Qualifier matches will take place over the next few weeks, with the winners facing Winter in a fatal 4 way for the title at BFG. Velvet Sky vs Angelina Love is the first one, and will take place later on. Madison Rayne is back, and sucks up to Karen. Rayne hasn't been seen since August 11th.

Fortune promo: AJ Styles welcomes Robert Roode. Styles says he admires what Roode did at No Surrender, and says he deserves this chance. Daniels says that Roode winning is just as big as when he beat Styles. Kaz says Fortune is a family, and James Storm says that Roode will win, and that they've fought hard together. Kurt Angle comes out and says Fortune is jealous of Roode. Angle says Roode will take on his Fortune friends over the next few weeks, with Kaz being the first tonight. Backstage, Bischoff tells Angle that Hogan likes the idea.

2.) Queen's Qualifier Match: Velvet Sky vs Angelina Love

This was boring, and short. I guess it was alright, but Sky is not a good in-ring worker. Winter accidently hits Angelina with the title, and the ref clearly sees it. Sky advances to the fatal 4 way at BFG.

Match Rate: 1.5/5

AJ Styles/Jeff Hardy segment: Jeff walks into AJ's locker room. Styles tells Jeff he's been busting his ass off for TNA, and that Jeff almost made all of that end at Victory Road, because he decided to do drugs, or whatever. Styles says Jeff is selfish, and says he does this for his family. Styles says he doesn't want Jeff near him. True words spoken here.

Flair/Hogan segment: Flair says Sting ends tonight, as Hogan arrives. Hogan says he has a plan b, but Sting shows up. Sting says he's going to take out both Flair and Hogan.

Crimson via satellite: Crimson says he had the BFG Series won, until Samoa Joe attacked him. Crimson says he thought it was done at Slammiversary. Crimson announces his return, and it will be in 2 weeks, September 29.

3.) Submission Match: Samoa Joe vs Matt Morgan

This match was just okay. Samoa Joe picks up the victory. I'm glad that Joe got the win.

Match Rate: 2/5

Angle/Kaz segment: Angle says he'll need a new contender after Roode. Kurt says Kaz knows he's the best in Fortune, and to take a chance for a title shot. Kaz refuses.

Devon/Jeff Hardy segment: Devon says Jeff Hardy needs to get it together. Devon says he'll stick by Jeff, but that Hardy almost ruined their 12 year friendship for what he did at Victory Road. Devon says he'll be there for Jeff.

4.) Robert Roode vs Kaz

Good match! It was decent paced, and great showing of technical ability. Roode is getting over on his own, and I'm glad Kaz is back on TV. Roode gets the win.

Matc Rate: 3/5

Kaz/Roode segment: Kaz says him and Roode are brothers. Kaz says he's ready, and that they'll do it again. Roode says he's ready for BFG.

Austin Aries segment: Aries says the X Division is now the A Double Division. Aries says his first titlt defense is next week.

Bully Ray/Jerry Lynn segment: Bully Ray says he hates Anderson, and that he's going to take care of him. Jerry Lynn says he's going to kick RVD's brains in, to give him a taste of what will happen at BFG(again?!). Lynn/Ray vs RVD/Anderson for next week.

5.) If Sting wins, he faces Hogan at BFG, If Flair wins, Sting retires: Sting vs Ric Flair

Must I explain? But, anyways, terrible match. I have no idea why this match even happened. I expected this, though. Immortal gets involved, but Anderson prevented anything from happening. Sting gets the win, and faces Hogan at BFG.

Match Rate: 1/5

Conclusion: This Impact was crap, except for Robert Roode vs Kaz. BFG is supposed to be the biggest event for TNA, and the show is getting no build up at all. I hope it gets better in the coming weeks.

Overall Rate: 3/10

Positives:

~Fortune promo
~Roode vs Kaz
~Queen's qualifier concept
~AJ Styles/Jeff Hardy segment

Negatives:

~Sting vs Hogan at BFG
~Sting vs Flair
~Karen Jarrett as Knockout Law
~No X Division matches
~Sting/Flair promo
~Bully Ray vs Mr. Anderson, Jerry Lynn vs RVD feuds

TNA No Surrender Review 9/11/11

Introduction: All the TNA stars are lined up on the stage for a moment of silence. Jesse Neal was in his sailor uniform. Rosita had spotlight cause she lost her dad on 9/11/01. America the beautiful was played. Nice opening to the PPV. We then head to a video package highlighting No Surrender's main focuses.

1.) #1 Contender's Match for an X-Division title shot: Kid Kash vs Jesse Sorenson

Decent match. Kash is good, and Sorenson is impressive. Good spots, but there was some taunting, that ruined the match. Overall, decent start to the PPV with this match. Sorenson wins to receive an X-Division title shot.

Match Rate: 2.5/5

Angle Interview: JB interviews Angle. Angle says it's unfair how his he found out just on Impact that he has to defend his title. Hogan tells him to get ready for his match.

2.) BFG Series Semi-Final: Bully Ray vs James Storm

Storm needed a submission victory to advance. Eh, this match was alright. It was boring, though. Storm made Ray tap, but gets DQ'd cause Storm spit beer in Ray's face. Bully Ray advances to the BFG Series Finals.

Match Rate: 2/5

3.) Knockouts Championship: Mickie James(c) vs Winter

This was a decent match. Winter spit blood on Angelina Love by mistake, but spit it on Mickie James to pick up the victory, and to win the Knockouts Title, AGAIN. Why did they make her drop it, then? Mickie just won it back! TNA needs to stop playing hot potato with its titles.

Match Rate: 2/5

Gunner Interview: JB tells Gunner that Bully Ray is the new points leader. Gunner says he's going to get the win against Roode. Bully Ray comes in, and tells Gunner to get business done.

4.) Tag Team Championship: Mexican America(c) vs Pope/Devon

This was a boring match. Not much was done, and Mexican America retain the Tag Titles.

Match Rate: 1.5/5

Mr. Anderson Interview: Mr. Anderson says him and Sting don't like eachother but they have a common bond in hating Immortal. He says he'll leave as TNA World Champion.

5.) Matt Morgan vs Samoa Joe

Another boring match! Morgan isn't anything special, and Joe is good, but still, only so much he can do. I thought Joe was getting pushed.. I guess not. Matt Morgan picks up the win.

Match Rate: 1.5/5

Beer Money Interview: Robert Roode says he's going to beat Gunner, and beat Bully Ray's ass later on. Storm said he was hoping it'd be him vs Roode, but that won't happen now. Roode says he's been waiting for this for 13 years.

6.) BFG Series Semi-Final: Gunner vs Robert Roode

What a match! Very competitive, and good. Roode needed the submission victory, and he got it. Eric Bischoff comes out after the match to say the winner of the entire BFG Series will be determined later tonight.

Match Rate: 3.5/5

Aries Interview: Austin Aries says Brian Kendrick needs to stop with all his crap. Aries says TNA is Total Nonstop Aries, and that he'll become the next X-Division Champion, and last(what the hell?).

7.) X-Division Championship: Brian Kendrick(c) vs Austin Aries

Very good match. Entertaining, crowd was into it, nice spots here and there. I enjoyed Kendrick's push, hopefully he remains on TV. Aries gets the win, and becomes the NEW X-Division champ. Who didn't see this coming? TNA is overpushing him.

Match Rate: 3.5

Bully Ray Interview: Bully Ray says he couldn't count on Gunner to get the job done. Bully Ray says BFG is in Philly, and his chances of winning are pretty good. He says he's the next World Heavyweight Champion.

8.) BFG Series Final: Bully Ray vs Robert Roode

This match was decent, but mostly thanks to Roode. Ray is just a good mic worker. Lots of near falls, and Roode wins, to earn a World Title match at Bound For Glory. I hope Beer Money sticks around, but Roode is getting his main event push. Let's hope he gets it done. He celebrated with the fans after the victory.

Match Rate: 3/5

Rosita Interview: JB says they'd like to take time out of the PPV to acknowledge those who lost loved ones on 9/11. Rosita is with JB, and does this interview totally out of character. She says she lost her dad on 9/11, and that she's cried countless times during the ceremony, and that it's hard waking up to know her dad isn't around. She says her dad taught her how to do a headlock, and that he was an amateur wrestler. Rosita thanks everyone for the support.

9.) TNA World Heavweight Championship: Kurt Angle(c) vs Sting vs Mr. Anderson

This match had no hype at all. This was boring, but decent. It could have been a lot better, if you ask me. Hogan gets involved(shocker, right?) and sprays something in Sting's eyes, to help Angle retain the title. Whatever.

Match Rate: 2.5/5

Conclusion: This PPV suffered from little build-up, but overall, it was decent. Some good matches, some boring, but not anything bad. The tribute for 9/11 was well done, and I respect TNA for doing so.

Overall Rate: 6/10

Positives:

~Aries winning the X-Division title
~ Roode winning the BFG Series
~ 9/11 Tribute
~ Gunner vs Robert Roode
~ Sorenson going over

Negatives:

~ Mexican America going over
~ Poor main event
~ Matt Morgan going over
~ Winter vs Mickie James feud

Impact Wrestling Review 9/8/11

Introduction: TNA was shown from Huntsville, Alabama. This is the second of the two tapings they did back on August 25th. Go home show for No Surrender, and build-up. Jeff Hardy also makes his return, and is given a live mic to cut a "shoot promo".

The show begins with a Jeff Hardy return hype package, and going back to Angle's match vs Sting last week for the World Title, showing Anderson making the save for Sting from his attack by Immortal.

Opening promo: Mr. Anderson comes out to the ring, and cuts a face promo. I like his promo work better as a face, anyways. Anderson says he's been a quiet man lately. He says joining Immortal was a business decision, and says Bully Ray is scum. Anderson says he'll use his re-match clause tonight vs Kurt Angle. Sting comes out, saying Immortal wanted him out, but that he's still standing here. Sting announces the network has named him the special enforcer for the World Title match.

1.) #1 Contender's Match for a Tag Titles shot: The British Invasion vs Pope/Devon

Un-eventful, boring match. Pope/Devon are now getting along? Their storyline is atrocious. The British Invasion are really being wasted, and should have won this match. However, Pope/Devon get the win, and will get their shot at No Surrender.

Match Rate: 2/5

BFG Series promo: Bully Ray, Gunner, and Beer Money are in the ring. Bully Ray says Beer Money is a great team, but that they will fall apart cause they want this World Title shot so badly. Bully Ray says he's going to get the title shot at Bound For Glory. Robert Roode says Beer Money will never be broken, and that they'll be there for eachother when the other wins the title. Roode says it's everyone's dream to become a World Champion. All four stare down to end the segment.

2.) TV Championship: Eric Young(c) vs Robbie E

Another boring match. Eric Young retained the title, but gets attacked by Rob Terry after the match. This signifies Terry accepting Robbie's offer to be his bouncer. Eddie Alvaraz was on commentary!

Match Rate: 1.5/5

RVD/Jerry Lynn segment: RVD tells Jerry Lynn that he screwed him out of the BFG Series. Jerry Lynn says he's better than RVD, but that TNA management never realized that. RVD guts Lynn to end the segment.

Mickie James/Velvet Sky segment: Sky says it's good that Mickie is champ again, and holds the title. Mickie says Velvet will be champ someday. Karen Jarrett comes in, and says she's granted Winter's re-match for No Surrender, and tells Velvet to lose weight.

3.) World Championship: Kurt Angle(c) vs Mr. Anderson with Sting as the special enforcer

Good match. However, JB said it was the main event, but it didn't come that way on air. I guess TNA bumped it up due to time constraints. Anderson wins by DQ, when Immortal runs in, and attacks Anderson and Sting.

Match Rate: 3.5/5

Immortal segment: Immortal is throwing a party, but Bischoff tells them to take it outside, cause he has a phone call. EB says "Is this a prank phone call?" and the segment ends. I'm guessing it's not good news.

4.) Mickie James/Velvet Sky vs Winter/Angelina Love

I LOVE Velvet's entrance! Anyways, this was a decent match, even though Sky isn't that good, the rest certainly are, though. Winter spits blood in Mickie's eyes to get the victory.

Match Rate: 3/5

Brian Kendrick/Austin Aries promo: This was a decent promo, nice build for No Surrender. Aries says Kendrick doesn't practice what he preaches, and that he'll be the next X-Division Champ. Kendrick comes out in a suit, and says he's changed his ways. Kendrick then rips off the suit, and says he hates the everyday life of a working man. Aries says Kendrick is a fake, Kendrick attacks him, and Aries makes a run for it.

Hogan/Bischoff segment: Hogan comes in the room saying they've got ridden of Sting and Anderson and that they're no longer a problem. Bischoff says his phone call was the network saying as a result of what Immortal did, Angle will defend the World Title against Sting and Anderson at No Surrender.

5.) 4 Corners Tornado: Bully Ray vs Gunner vs James Storm vs Robert Roode

This was a decent match, with good spots. Gunner stole the win, by hitting a running knee on Bully Ray, and pinning him. I think Gunner might be going face. IMO, he deserves to win the entire BFG Series.

Match Rate: 3/5

Jeff Hardy promo: Jeff Hardy comes out to the ring to his "Modest" theme. He receives a warm welcome from the crowd, but he says he doesn't deserve it. He says he hit rock bottom at Victory Road, and that he was pathetic at the PPV. He says he let everyone down, including himself. Hardy says he can't expect everyone to forgive him, and the crowd chants "one more shot", and he ends it by saying "all I can do is ask".

Conclusion: This episode wasn't as good as last week's. I feel that No Surrender has weak build. Also, Matt Morgan and Samoa Joe weren't seen at all to build their match, and no follow-up to Daniels turning on Styles? The two opening matches sucked, but came back with 3 solid matches. As for Jeff Hardy, he gets nothing from me. He can take "one more shot" and stick it up his rear. I'm done with Jeff Hardy.

Overall Rate: 5/10

Positives

~ Gunner going over
~ Kendrick and Aries promo
~ Angle vs Anderson
~ BFG Series promo

Negatives

~ Hardy return
~ thrown together PPV main event
~ Pope/Devon going over
~ Terry alligns with Robbie E
~ RVD and Jerry Lynn feud

Impact Wrestling Review 9/1/11

Introduction: TNA went to Huntsville, Alabama for 2 Impact tapings on 8/25/11, this being the first of them. The crowd looked decent, and it gives them a more major league feel.

Opening Promo: Hulk Hogan comes out, saying how Immortal is going to do business tonight. He says Flair will take on Sting on the 9/15/11 edition of Impact(Oh, God. Save us!). Hogan bashes Dixie Carter, saying the company is better in his hands. Kurt Angle makes his way out, and says his enemies are the same as Hogan's enemies. Angle vows to take out all the young guys. Sting makes his way out next, acting like a lunatic. He says he's going to go through Angle, then Flair, then Hogan. Sting vs Angle for the World Title is announced as the main event, and Hogan is the special enforcer.

1.) BFG Series Match: Gunner vs RVD

Matt Morgan was on commentary, but Samoa Joe came out, and Morgan got in the way, but Joe kicked him in the nuts. Gunner wins to make it into the Final 4 in the BFG Series, as he was tied with RVD before this match. Jerry Lynn shoved RVD off the top rope, leading to Gunner picking up the victory. Decent match.

Match Rate: 2/5

Eric Bischoff's announcement: The Knockouts come out to the ring, as Bischoff is going to announce who will be the new Knockout Law(Vice President of the Knockouts division). Bischoff comes out with Traci Brooks, who's looking very good, may I say. Bischoff rants on the division, saying they whine, and that a real lady needs to be in charge of them. Bischoff swerves Traci, and names Karen Jarrett the Knockout Law. She says the Knockouts will bow to her, and that she's going to shake things up. ODB and Jackie are now a part of the roster, and Traci Brooks is named Executive Assistant. They also said Traci "slept" with Bischoff, trying to get the position, oh well.

2.) Brian Kendrick/Jesse Sorenson vs Austin Aries/Kid Kash

Decent match, with losts of fast paced spots. Good action. Kendrick ended up brawling with Aries, as Sorenson picked up a roll-up pin over Kash. Kendrick vs Aries for the X-Division Title was announced for No Surrender.

Match Rate: 2.5/5

Winter/Angelina Love Segment: Winter drinks blood, as she says Mickie will be torn apart if she tries to take what she loves away from her. It turns into a Mickie James segment, and Mickie vows to kick Winter's ass.

Jeff Hardy return package: TNA hypes up Hardy's return for next week. Why on Earth is he returning? He showed up to Victory Road trashed, and he still gets to come back? Stars featured in the video, such as Beer Money, Matt Morgan, Sting, etc, talk about Hardy's situation, and that he'll be on the right track. It's said Hardy will be given a live mic to talk about what's on his mind next week.

Kurt Angle segment: Angle promises to take out Sting tonight. Hulk Hogan shows up, and says Angle needs to come with him to New York to take out The Network. Hogan says Jeff Hardy is garbage, and that Immortal dumped him months ago.

3.) Knockouts Championship: Winter vs Mickie James

This was a very good women's match. Back and forth action, submission holds, near falls, and Angelina Love was barred from ringside, just about a minute into the match. This match delivered, as I expected. Mickie James picks up the win, to become the NEW Knockouts Champion! I like it and all, but Winter won the title just at Hardcore Justice, about 3 weeks ago, also this was Winter's first title defense. However, it is, what it is.

Match Rate: 3/5

Matt Morgan/Samoa Joe brawl: Matt Morgan comes out to the ring, and calls out Samoa Joe. Joe comes out, shoves the ref down, and it turns into a brawl. Morgan had the upperhand, but Joe got the better of him, and leaves Matt laid out. Is Samoa Joe starting to get pushed again? I hope so.

Robbie E/Rob Terry segment: Robbie and Terry are seen in a gym, and Robbie brings up his offer to Terry again. Robbie E says Terry could benefit from being his manager. Eric Young shows up and challenges Robbie E to a match next week, and it's made official. Robbie E tells Terry to keep thinking about it. Cookie was released from TNA, so they put Robbie with Terry? Where is The British Invasion?

Immortal segment: Hogan talks to Immortal in the locker room area. Hogan says Jeff Hardy is a joke, and that his return is meaningless. Hogan says business must be handled tonight, and they join in hands.

4. Daniels vs AJ Styles

Pretty decent match. Great chemistry together, and it really made it seem like Daniels wanted the victory. Decent paced action. Daniels gets the win, after Styles slips on the ropes. Honestly, that's how you let Daniels wins? A slip on the ropes? Styles extends his hand after the match, but Daniels walks away, thus turning Daniels heel.

Match Rate: 3.5/5

5.) World Championship: Kurt Angle vs Sting, with Hogan as the special enforcer

This was a decent match. I liked the action, and these two have always been known to put on decent matches with eachother. Hogan cost Sting the match, which ruined the match. Gunner tried to get involved, but Sting took him out. Angle retains, and Immortal beats down Sting, until Mr. Anderson makes the save.

Match Rate: 3/5

Conclusion: This show was much better than last week's. Good matches, not as many segments, and things advanced. It really helps for them to go on the road, as people are actually paying to see them(Impact in Orlando is free), so perhaps a better effort is put in. I'm looking forward to next week. Crimson vs Angle was what I was interested in, but Crimson is written out via the attack from Joe on the 8/25/11 edition.

Overall Rate: 7/10

Positives

~ Knockouts Match
~ Styles vs Daniels
~ Gunner advancing to the Final 4
~ Sting vs Angle
~ Samoa Joe going over
~ X-Division Tag Match

Negatives

~ Karen Jarrett as Knockout Law
~ Jeff Hardy return hype
~ Hogan promo
~ Immortal involvement in the main event
~ Robbie E/Rob Terry possible alliance

Impact Wrestling Review 8/25/11

Angle/Crimson Promo: Decent start to the show. The content was repetitive, and the same of the other promos in the last few weeks. Crimson is awkward on the mic, Angle had him beat during the entire duration of the promo. Immortal comes out, Bully Ray says a few pointless words. Also, Angle's status(whether he's in Immortal or not) is un-clear. I wish they could make it simple, instead of over-complicating everything.

Velvet Sky/ODB/Jackie Moore Segment: Weren't these ladies feuding not too long ago? Now they're a team? Makes no sense.

Hogan/Flair/Eric Bischoff Segment: It was just about Sting losing his mind, as they've mentioned a million times before.

1.) Angelina Love/Sarita/Rosita vs Velvet Sky/ODB/Jackie Moore:

Short, but it was alright. It could have been better. Angelina Love shoves Rosita after the match, cool.

Match Rate: 1 out of 5

2.) Kid Kash vs Jesse Sorenson:

Short, but it was decent. Good work by both of them. Sorenson is impressive, and Kash is a personal favorite. Exchange after the match, security breaks it up.

Match Rate: 2 out of 5

3.) BFG Series: RVD vs D'angelo Dinero :

Not a fan of either guy, but it was decent. RVD gains 10 points, trying to get back into the mix. Samoa Joe attacks Dinero, and Devon makes the save.

Match Rate: 2 out of 5

Robbie E/Rob Terry Segment: This was funny, I guess Robbie E wants Terry to manage him. I thought Terry was with The British Invasion? Whatever.

Knockouts Brawl: Sarita/Rosita attack Love, Winter makes the save. Entertaining, Winter is a good character. Mexican America showed up to help Sarita/Rosita.

Traci Brooks/Eric Bischoff segment: Traci really wants to be the Knockout Law, EB announces he'll announce it next week, and he's also trying to "get some", but who can blame him?

Hogan/Flair/Sting Promo: It's the same stuff repeated over and over again! TNA does not have a good promo game, at all. Boring, stale, it doesn't stick out. Sting delivers on his end, Flair/Hogan are boring. Some funny parts, Flair always screams, and Sting wants Hogan at BFG? Oh God..

AJ Styles/Daniels Promo: Didn't we just hear a damn promo? Wrestling matters? Rightt. Emotional promo, AJ Styles agrees to another match.

4.) BFG Series, Styles/Beer Money vs Ray/Steiner/Gunner:

Good brawl match, Fortune should have gone over, but Ray gets the points. Mr. Anderson returns, and takes out Immortal. Cool?

Match Rate: 2.5 out of 5

Eric Young/Scott Baio Package: Funny stuff! EY needs to wrestle, though.

5.) Crimson vs Kurt Angle:

Good match, but Samoa Joe causing the DQ ruined it. Joe attacks Crimson after, and Crimson is taken out of the BFG Series cause of the injury angle.

Match Rate: 3 out of 5

Conclusion: Not really a good show. It could have been a lot better, and the featured storylines are boring, and played out. They're on the road next week, I'm hoping for better. Crimson/Angle feud is the only interesting thing at the moment.

Overall Rating: 4/10

The Three Stooges of Wrestling

With SummerSlam weekend almost upon us the majority of wrestling fans are more than likely anticipating the Undisputed WWE Championship match between CM Punk and John Cena, and rightfully so. The WWE has taken a new creative direction as of late and CM Punk is well and truly the poster-boy of that new direction, arguably responsible for some of the best television that the WWE has put out in years. With that being said, with the WWE and CM Punk making creative strides it would be easy to ignore the 'competition'. Yes, I'm talking about Impact Wrestling.

Where does one even begin to talk about Impact Wrestling...or TNA, I'm still not sure what they call themselves, and by the looks of it neither do they (the TNA logo is still proudly featured at the top of the 'impact wrestling' website homepage). It is mind boggling to me, as a wrestling fan, as to how Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and Dixie Carter could have taken this once beloved and promising company and reduced it to the mess that is shown on Spike TV every Thursday night.

I by no means consider myself an 'expert'. Yes, I've watched professional wrestling for the majority of my life, but I have never (unfortunately) been given the chance to run a wrestling company. However, if it's one thing wrestling thrives off of it is new stars and new ideas. Several years ago, it could be said that TNA had an ample amount of both. With great wrestlers like AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Matt Morgan (ok, maybe he's not great yet), Beer Money, MCMG and innovative match types and creative offerrings, TNA was a viable alternative to the WWE's product.

Fast forward to 2011 where the Hogan/Bischoff regime is in full swing. Guy's who were supposed to be the faces of tomorrow, are still just that. The main event picture consists of Kurt Angle, Sting, Rob Van Dam, Bully Ray, Mr Anderson, and, when they're not addicted to one thing or another, the Hardy's. While all of those names are undoubtedly big time names, they have been big time names for years. The AJ Styles', the Samoa Joe's of TNA are buried in the midcard. In the Bound for Glory series, Samoa Joe has yet to earn ANY points. In a business which thrives off of new stars, TNA is flooded with the stars of yesteryear. The face of the company is in dire need of a facelift, through the acquisition and promotion of compelling talent that people will want to care about.

It is almost as if Hogan and Bischoff are merely trolling the IWC. Unlike in WCW, where none of the younger talent were pushed, Impact Wrestling is pushing younger talent. It just so happens that theyre pushing guys that nobody cares about and who don't (in my humble opinion) deserve to be pushed. I am, of course, referring to Crimson. I think Goldberg said it best on twitter when he said "Who are you again???". Crimson is being pushed seemingly towards a World Title shot and AJ Styles is mid card, Samoa Joe has jobbed every week for the last few months, Amazing Red and the Bucks were just let go. Like I said, it is mind boggling.

You only have to follow Hulk Hogan on twitter to understand why the company is in the shape it is. He recently asked fans to tweet him what matches they would love to see. Apparently, all the fans who tweeted are really dying to see Hogan vs Sting, or Hogan vs Warrior, or Hogan vs Austin. What a surprise. That is precisely the problem. Nobody cares about Hulk Hogan, nobody cares about Ric Flair, and nobody cares about Sting, in 2011. The sooner that TNA management realises this, if they ever do, the better.

I could talk forever about TNA, as there certainly is a lot to talk about, but I think I'll leave it there...for now. It may be too little too late for TNA though. It is no doubt the proverbial laughing stock of the IWC, appealing only to horny 12 year olds who are dying for gore and boobs, or middle aged marks who (like Hogan and Flair) can't understand where the last 20 years went, and desperately want their WCW back. A miracle might be the only thing that is able to save this once promising company from the likes of Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and Dixie Carter; the Three Stooges of Wrestling.
